Dry Sift & Kief
The oldest solventless method: rub or tumble dried flower over fine mesh and gravity collects the trichome heads beneath.
Kief
The powder that collects in the bottom chamber of a three-piece grinder is kief. Sprinkle on a bowl, twax a joint, or accumulate enough to press into rosin or hash.
Dry sift
Flower is gently agitated across a stack of micron screens (typically 75–125μ). Skilled sifters can produce 'full-melt' dry sift that bubbles and dabs as cleanly as ice water hash. It requires extremely dry, well-cured starting material and patience.
Storage
Kief and dry sift oxidise quickly. Keep in a glass jar with a humidity pack at 58–62% RH, away from light and heat.
