Live Rosin & Hash Rosin
The pinnacle: fresh-frozen flower → washed into ice water hash → freeze-dried → pressed into rosin. Every step preserves volatile terpenes that cured flower has already lost.
Fresh-frozen
Flower is harvested and immediately frozen at −20°C without drying or curing. This locks in monoterpenes (limonene, myrcene, pinene) that would otherwise evaporate within days.
Why two stages?
Pressing fresh-frozen flower directly contains too much chlorophyll and water. Washing first into ice water hash strips the unwanted plant compounds, leaving only trichome heads. Pressing those heads gives the cleanest, most flavour-forward concentrate possible.
Yield economics
Live rosin yields about 2–4% of starting fresh-frozen weight. A pound of premium fresh-frozen might produce 12–18g of cold-cure live rosin — explaining the £80–£150/g shelf price.
